Aims of Biological Farming
  • To provide highly nutritional and sufficient food.
  • To interact with all natural systems and cycles in a constructive and vital manner.
  • To encourage and enhance the biological cycles of the agricultural systems, including microorganisms, soil fauna and flora, plants and  
    animals.
  • To preserve and reinforce land fertility in the long term.
  • To make maximum use of the renewable sources on the agricultural  
    systems organized at a local level.
  • To be applied, in the best possible manner, on closed systems in relation to organic substances and nutrients.
  • To be applied, in the best possible manner, on ingredients and substances which can be reused or recycled in a farm or elsewhere.
  • To offer such life conditions to farm animals that would allow the development of core aspects of their innate behaviour.
  • To limit all forms of pollution deriving from agricultural practices.
  • To maintain the genetic diversity of the agricultural ecosystems, including the protection of plantation and that of wild animals.
  • To offer to producers living conditions in compliance with the U.N. human rights, to cover their basic needs and provide them with a sufficient income and satisfaction deriving from their profession, within a secure working environment.
  • To study the broader social and ecological impact of agro-ecosystems.
